Ellie Bauwens began playing piano at the age of 3 with pianist M.Aeberli-Lazareva. At the age of 6 she participated in her first competition, Val de Travers and she received “Creativity Award”. Since then Ellie participated in over 20 international and national competitions, always becoming a laureate. In December 2023 Ellie participated in Lugano Competition where she won a scholarship to study with V.Ashkenazy. In 2023 Ellie also began studying harpsichord with V.Frey. In May 2024 she won First prize at Swiss Junior Competition in the category “Old Music”. In June 2024 Ellie performed J.S. Bach's Concerto f-moll with a quartet of Camerata Cromatica in a series of concerts in Switzerland. In August 2024 she was invited to play in an emission on RTS, Espace 2. Ellie received Young Talent Award and performed at the Bachwochen Thun Festival 2024. In November 2024 Ellie perforemed for the Order of Chevaliers swiss and received an award of “Young excellence of Music” by “Atelier de Creativita”. In 2023 Ellie became engaged in the programme “Berner Talente”. Ellie is a student of Zakhar Bron Academy of Music, Rafael Lipstein's class. Ellie also composes, performing her pieces at concerts and competitions.
